  Training Courses

Further your education by attending two optional training courses, Measurement Uncertainty and Wet Gas Measurement, prior to the conference. For your convenience, both courses will be offered twice.

Natural Gas Measurement Uncertainty Training Course

$1,350 (Includes breakfasts, lunches, and course materials.)
Thursday – Friday, August 6-7, 2009 or Monday – Tuesday, August 10-11, 2009

Tailored for senior technicians and engineers in a broad range of industries, this course will present material applicable to both calibration and manufacturing processes. Using example-based material, this course teaches fundamental concepts by exploring a variety of real-world applications and reinforces statistical concepts with numerical simulation. The course is divided into four parts:
  • Presentation of a step-by-step method for performing an uncertainty analysis
  • The application of statistical process control techniques to instrument calibration and uncertainty
  • Youden analysis, risk management, traceability, correlation, regression, and uncertainty intervals
  • Example analyses of the instruments and components that comprise a larger uncertainty analysis

Wet Gas Measurement Training Course

$1,500 (Includes breakfasts, lunches, and course materials.)
Thursday – Friday, August 6-7, 2009 or Monday – Tuesday, August 10-11, 2009

Designed for senior technicians and engineers, this course will build a solid understanding of the hydrodynamic behavior and provide a comprehensive review and explanation of the current technology.

Course topics will include:
  • The definition of wet gas
  • The flow patterns of horizontal, vertical up and down, and angled flows
  • Wet gas flow worked examples
  • Single-phase DP meter wet gas flow performance
  • Accessories for single-phase DP meters with correction factors
  • Wet gas metering concepts
  • Common field problems
